Medical Care Training
Training Objective:
In accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) Code, including its amendments, 1978, the aim of this training is to ensure that personnel designated as medical officers on board ships meet the minimum competency standards required by Regulation A-VI/4 of the STCW Code. Upon completion of this training, participants should possess the necessary knowledge and skills to promptly implement first aid and medical care on board in the event of accidents or illnesses, in order to preserve the lives of the injured or ill individuals, prevent worsening of injuries, and maintain their condition until medical personnel arrive to take over.
