Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties
Training Objective:
In accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) Code, including its amendments, 1978, the aim of this training is to ensure that personnel responsible for specific security duties on board ships understand their security responsibilities as outlined in the Ship Security Plan. They should possess sufficient knowledge and competence to carry out their assigned duties, meeting the minimum competency standards required by Regulation A-VI/6 of the STCW Code. Upon completion of this training, participants should have the appropriate professional capabilities to execute security measures on board ships and possess adequate professional knowledge of ship and port operations to fulfill their security responsibilities as outlined in the Ship Security Plan.
