Leadership and Engine-Room Resource Management (ERM)
Training Objective:
In accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) Code, including its amendments, 1978, the aim of this training is to ensure that personnel assigned to navigation duties on board ships at the rank of Chief Officer or higher meet the minimum competency standards required by Regulation A-III/1 of the STCW Code. Upon completion of this training, participants should possess thorough knowledge and capability in leadership, command, and engine room resource management, including but not limited to resource allocation, distribution and prioritization, communication, decision-making and leadership, crisis management, leadership, and workload management, in order to ensure the safety of navigation at sea.
