Revalidation Training of Passenger Ships Safety Training
Training Objective:
In accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978, as amended, ensure that existing Officers and Ratings (including administrative departments) assigned to serve on passenger ships operating on domestic routes with a gross tonnage of 20 or above and distances within 300 nautical miles between ports on both sides of the straits possess the required competence to reduce the occurrence of maritime accidents and meet the minimum competency standards required by Regulation A-V/2 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978, as amended (STCW CODE).
