Radar, ARPA, Bridge Team Work and Search and Rescue
Training Objective:
In accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) Code, including its amendments, 1978, the aim of this training is to ensure that personnel assigned to navigation duties on board ships at the rank of Chief Officer or higher meet the minimum competency standards required by Regulation A-II/2 of the STCW Code. Upon completion of this training, participants should possess the minimum requirements for using radar, automatic radar plotting aids, and modern navigation systems to assist in command decision-making, maintain navigational safety, and coordinate search and rescue operations.
